SPANISH NAVY HARRIERS

The Spanish Navy flies a squadron of AV-8B+ HARRIER II from Naval Air Station Rota. Harriers are known as “Jump Jets” due to its ability of taking off and landing vertivally which allows them to be flown from small aircraft carriers or assault ships. The Spanish Navy Harriers fly fleet defense, close air support and air to suface missions.
